CONCORD: Capital Region Food Program (CRFP) has expanded its Year-round Distribution Project through two new partnerships with Concord Hospital Payson Center for Cancer Care and Overcomers Refugee Services of New Hampshire to combat food insecurity across the greater Concord area. With the support of volunteers, donors and partner agencies, CRFP has distributed 8.5 tons of food, totaling over $28,000, to 24 different local community service agencies throughout the first quarter of 2026.

MANCHESTER: Elliot Health System’s Heart and Vascular care team recently expanded its Electrophysiology (EP) program, introducing both catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation (AFib) and other heart rhythm disorders and the WATCHMAN Left Atrial Appendage Closure (LAAC) implant program for patients. On May 5, the system completed its first Atrial Flutter ablation using the FARAPOINT Pulse Field Ablation catheter, marking the first time since FDA approval the catheter has been commercially utilized in New Hampshire. The advanced technology aims to deliver greater precision and safety tailored to an individual’s unique heart anatomy to improve heart rhythm management outcomes. In the same week, the system also performed its first two catheter ablations to treat AFib. The inaugural procedures at Elliot Hospital in Manchester were performed by a new member of the Elliot Cardiovascular Consultants team, Kevin C. Floyd, a board-certified electrophysiologist with more than 20 years of experience.

SULLIVAN COUNTY: Discover Sugar River Region has launched a new destination website designed to transform how residents, visitors and newcomers discover and engage with one of New Hampshire’s most overlooked regions. The platform combines immersive regional storytelling with real-time business and destination data powered by Google Places, creating a dynamic planning resource that connects lodging, restaurants, trails, farms, arts venues, historical sites and events. The new website launch accompanies the print publication of Discover Sugar River Region’s second annual destination guide, which is produced by Yankee Publishing, the parent company of NH Business Review.

MANCHESTER: Stay Work Play NH has launched the NH Interns Program, a statewide initiative designed to support New Hampshire’s broader workforce and talent retention strategy. The program helps interns build meaningful professional and personal networks, strengthen career readiness and deepen connections to the communities where they live and work over the summer. A few events are scheduled throughout the summer to allow interns to meet and start to build their networks. The NH Interns Program is held in partnership with Bangor Savings Bank, the Business and Industry Association of New Hampshire, and New Hampshire College & University Council. NASHUA: Can-One USA, New England’s only maker of aluminum beverage cans, has launched a new in-house prepress and plate-making department, to serve its growing customer base. As part of this change, Can-One will add a prepress lead, prepress administrator and prepress and artwork designer to its staff. Bringing prepress operations in-house will give Can-One USA direct control over artwork preparation, color accuracy and plate production. The transition improves lead times and positions Can-One USA to more efficiently onboard new customers and manage workflow. The shift from external vendors to a fully integrated internal process strengthens coordination between prepress and the production floor. The company now produces more than 2 million cans per day, printing more than 550 designs for 300 customers.
