WINDHAM: Windham has become the latest town — alongside Londonderry, Merrimack and Laconia — to partner with Freedom Energy to launch its Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) program in order to give residents and businesses access to a competitive electricity supply rate beginning May 1. The program is designed to reduce electricity costs with a longer-term price stability.

PORTSMOUTH: Plan NH is now accepting nominations for its 2026 Merit Awards of Excellence, which recognize outstanding projects that improve the built environment and reflect the organization’s mission to foster sustainable New Hampshire communities. Submissions must reflect positive community impact, dedication to smart growth and livability principles, and creative collaboration and coordination. Nominations will be accepted through April 17 at plannh.org.

MANCHESTER: UNH Manchester is offering a summer STEAM program for students looking to explore subjects through hands-on activities. Applications are being accepted now for the Manchester Tech Camp, which runs August 3 to 14 for students entering grades 5 through 12. A related paid professional development program for middle and high school STEAM educators, called the Manchester Tech for Teachers Institute, is also being offered on the UNH Manchester campus this summer. HOOKSETT: GE Aerospace announced that it is investing $1 billion in its U.S. manufacturing sites and suppliers during 2026, including more than $12 million for its site in Hooksett, NH. The site produces engine components used in narrowbody and widebody aircraft, along with military fighter jets, helicopters and maritime ships. The investment will add and upgrade machines, add inspection equipment and make additional building improvements.

CONCORD: Leadership Greater Concord — the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce’s annual leadership program for area professionals — is accepting applications for the class of 2027. Participants embark on a nine-month program that includes handson and interactive sessions that cover the region’s public resources and governance, and each class connects with business and civic leaders who are making decisions about Greater Concord’s future.
