RYE: Bring Back the Trade’s 2025 Skills Expo, held this year at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts on October 25, welcomed more than 3,000 students, families, educators and industry professionals to a weekend of hands-on exploration, real-world connection and celebration of the skilled trades. With 100 interactive exhibits, attendees had the chance to try welding simulators, explore robotics, watch live construction builds, interact with plumbing, get up close with aviation technology, learn more about the power of electricity, and so much more. Looking ahead to 2026, the expo will be offered in three locations, one in New Hampshire, Maine and Massachusetts. More details to come.

PORTSMOUTH: Eastern Real Estate and The Kane Company started on construction for Prescott Post, a 360-unit Class A multifamily development in Portsmouth. The project transforms a vacant retail property into a residential community set on 26 acres featuring three- and four-story buildings with surrounding green space. Amenities will include co-working spaces, fitness suite with yoga studio, outdoor kitchens with fire pits, dog run with washing station, private garages and more. First units are expected to be available late 2026.

MANCHESTER: Chapman Construction/Design has been selected to provide preconstruction services to the Strawbery Banke Museum in Portsmouth, which has faced challenges related to sea level rise, groundwater intrusion and stormwater management. Chapman will assist the historic site with the planning and implementation of a comprehensive resiliency and landscape restoration plan designed to address localized flooding and water quality challenges within the site.

NASHUA: Blaylock Holdings, LLC (a Thorndike Development and Wincrest Properties joint venture) joined federal, state and local leaders on Nov. 21 to celebrate the start of remediation and redevelopment at the former Mohawk Tannery Superfund site in Nashua. The groundbreaking ceremony marks a long-awaited cleanup of one of New Hampshire’s most challenging environmental hazards and initiating work that will make way for the development of 546 new homes along with many other public amenities. Ultimately, the project will create hundreds of jobs, address critical housing needs and generate substantial new tax revenue for the community.

MANCHESTER: City Year New Hampshire has been awarded a multiyear grant of $112,000 in matching funds to present a free outdoor music series at Veteran’s Memorial Park in Manchester in 2026, 2027 and 2028. Funded by the Levitt Foundation, the grants support free, live music in towns and cities with a population of up to 250,000. Levitt AMP concert series aim to amplify community pride and a city’s unique character; enrich lives through the power of free, live music; and illustrate the importance of inclusive and vibrant public places.
