
1. Casino Salem recently held a grand opening and ribbon cutting for the first phase of launching the new entertainment venue, located in the Mall at Rockingham Park in Salem, NH. Phase 1 of the project is focused on generating jobs, creating tax revenue for the town and supporting local causes. Casino Salem — home to a full-service bar, historical horse racing machines, classic table games, poker and more — is now open at 99 Rockingham Park Blvd.
2. TFMoran hosted the NH Commercial Investment Board of REALTORS (NH CIBOR) Annual Barbecue on June 19 at its Bedford office, where 150 NH CIBOR members and TFMoran staff came together to celebrate the shared commitment to the state’s commercial real estate community. NH CIBOR president Kathy DeMello (right) also presented awards to TFMoran Chief Operating Officer Dylan Cruess for Affiliate of the Year (left) and Ethan Ash as REALTOR of the Year.
3. RiverWoods Exeter’s Residents Charitable Funds Committee awarded $2,500 scholarships to 10 Great Bay Community College nursing students to support their educational pursuits. Recipients were: Molly Amundsen, Elizabeth Gardner (second from left), Miranda Green, Sarah Greenham (at right), Olivia Groulx, Aggie Halliday (center), Emmy Lewis (second from right), Lydia Mercier, Kylie Sapochetti, and Milena Woods. 4. Aplomb Art Café, Gallery + Healing Space held a grand-opening ceremony at its 262 Central Avenue location in Dover, hosted by the Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce. Aplomb is a creative community space where guests can explore self-guided art projects or book guided art sessions. Art classes, workshops and healing-centered creative sessions are available now in Aplomb’s café-esque space, where individuals, families and groups are invited to create and connect.
5. Each year, St. Mary’s Bank selects four nonprofit organizations, one in each of the categories of children and families, food and shelter, animals, and environment, to receive a donation as part of their 603 Account program. This year, The Granite YMCA received a $5,000 donation as the selected children and families nonprofit. 6. Meredith Village Savings Bank (MVSB) purchased $15,000 in tax credits through the NH Community Development Finance Authority to support the NH Coalition to End Homelessness’ (NHCEH) education efforts, including their Granite Leader programming and Regional Roundtables. 7. White Mountains Community College (WMCC) received the Community Partner of the Year award from the NH Department of Corrections (NHDOC) for its work with the Northern New Hampshire Correctional Facility to provide opportunities for students to earn an associate degree through the college. The program’s goal is to prepare participants for life and employment postrelease, and is centered on rehabilitation, reducing recidivism and enhancing facility safety.
