WHAT: Join the GMC-Regional Chamber of Commerce for a Monadnock Economic Development Policy Forum co-hosted by SWRPC’s Economic Development Advisory Committee, Monadnock Economic Development Corporation, and the Greater Monadnock Collaborative. The forum will feature a presentation by Mike Skelton, president and CEO of the Business and Industry Association of New Hampshire, on state legislative activity related to business and economic development in the state. It has been a busy legislative session in Concord. The forum will be a good opportunity to take stock of how the dust has settled.

Whether you’re summiting Mount Washington, walking a local nature path or conquering a personal milestone, your adventure makes a difference. Every step you take helps us advance weather science and provide critical insights into extreme conditions. After your hike, gather with fellow participants and Mount Washington Observatory supporters for an evening of fun, food and festivities at the Après Hike Expo from 4-7 p.m. at Great Glen Trails.

NH GRANTS INSTITUTE

WHAT: Designed for both novice and experienced grant seekers alike, the NH Grants Institute is a comprehensive and interactive 3-day workshop that covers organizational readiness, pregrant planning, grant identification, strategy, relationship development between grantor and grantee, proposal writing, collaborative grant development, the review process, and forging effective relationships with funders. The focus of the Institute is on giving through private foundations, not federal or state grants. Each day of NH Grants Institute will also feature a panel of NH funders, providing an excellent opportunity to network, learn about their priorities and current approaches to grantmaking and sponsorships, and ask questions. Light breakfast, snacks and lunch are included in registration, which is for all three days.
