BUSINESS ORGANIZATIONS
Sanborn, Head & Associates, Inc. (Sanborn Head) announced the following leadership changes for 2025: Jennifer Sanborn, vice president of talent, and Carolyn Silverthorn, senior vice president of finance, will join the executive committee, contributing important perspective on the human resources and financial management aspects of the business. Julie Scott will become the industrial market team leader in January as Russ Abell, who has served in the position since 2017, transitions out to focus on project work for clients. Heather James and Tricia Pinto were elected to Sanborn Head’s board of directors for a three-year term as internal directors. John Marczewski was also reelected to Sanborn Head’s board for a three-year term as an external director.
The Greater Manchester Chamber has elected officers to lead the board of directors and welcomed new board members. Leading the GMC board is newly elected board chair Trinnie Houghton, CEO & Founder of Ripple Effect Studio, joined by vice chair Kate Skouteris, VP Regional Commercial Market at Point32Health. Sheila McNeil of Wipfli continues as treasurer, and Ernesto Burden of Yankee Publishing remains as secretary, with John Kacavas of Dartmouth Health serving as ex-officio legal counsel. New board members starting a three-year term are: Nichole Davis, Hoyle, Tanner & Associates; Ileana Ille, The Elm Street Group at Morgan Stanley; Julie Jussif, New Hampshire Housing; Peter Marr, Manchester Police Department; and John Zimmerman, Double-Tree by Hilton Manchester Downtown.
Leadership New Hampshire is now accepting applications for its Class of 2026 through March 15. Each year, the 10-month program selects a cohort of diverse and accomplished individuals to explore critical issues facing the Granite State, gain a deeper understanding of its regions and communities, and create high-level, statewide connections. Following a 10-year career in civil litigation with Cleveland, Waters and Bass P.A., Cooley Arroyo has stepped into the chief compliance officer role at the New Hampshire Lottery. In this role, Arroyo will oversee the New Hampshire Lottery’s external compliance programs to ensure contractor and licensee compliance with laws, regulations and New Hampshire Lottery policies. Arroyo works closely with charitable gaming establishments and retail sportsbooks statewide, including the New Hampshire Lottery’s exclusive sports betting partner, DraftKings.
FINANCIAL SERVICES
Holy Rosary Credit Union Mortgage Origination Manager Eric Palmer has been selected for New Hampshire Housing’s Homeownership Fellows Program and Lending Advisory Committee. The nine-month fellowship provides participants with an expanded awareness of the mortgage industry, the needs and challenges of homebuyers and a broader understanding of how to promote successful homeownership to individuals and families in New Hampshire.

Larry Wold has joined Bar Harbor Bank & Trust as senior vice president, commercial lending, helping operating businesses throughout Northern New England secure financing for working capital, capital expenditures and other growth needs. Wold has over 35 years of banking experience, most recently serving as Maine market president at TD Bank.
Franklin Savings Bank recently granted $10,000 to the Tilton-Northfield Little League to support the purchase of a new scoreboard and fence repair for the local community ball field. These field improvements will help bring more games and fundraising opportunities to the home field, and many more years of family and community memories.
KLR, a CPA and business advisory firm, announced its merger with Sullivan Bille P.C., an accounting and advisory firm in Andover, Massachusetts. This merger extends KLR’s service areas to now include Northern Boston, Southern Maine and New Hampshire with three offices in the Greater Boston area. The merger adds 25 talented professionals to KLR, increasing the total number of team members to 325.
Claremont Savings Bank has announced the newly created role of executive vice president within the institution as an ongoing commitment to enhancing leadership capabilities and ensuring operational excellence across all departments. In addition, the Bank also promoted three key individuals within the organization: Carol Vivian, chief customer experience officer, EVP; Jim Lynch, chief lending officer, EVP; and Paul Yang, chief financial officer, EVP.
EDUCATION
The New Hampshire College & University Council board of directors has appointed Mica Stark as the organization’s new president and chief executive officer. Stark will also serve as executive director of the Education Alliance for New Hampshire, formerly known as Campus Compact for New Hampshire. Together, these organizations work to advance higher education in New Hampshire and expand educational opportunities for hundreds of thousands of students across the state.
The board of trustees of the Community College System of New Hampshire has appointed Alfred Williams as interim president of Nashua Community College while conducting a search for a president to succeed Lucille Jordan, long-time leader who passed away in December of 2024. Williams will continue his current role as president of River Valley Community College, with a main campus in Claremont and academic centers in Lebanon and Keene, until a successor is hired at Nashua Community College.
Great Bay Community College has added two veterans of the higher education field to their leadership team: Rob McGann has been named vice president of student success and enrollment management, and Maria Altobello has joined the college as associate vice president of academic and student affairs. McGann most recently served as associate vice president of enrollment management at Northampton Community College in Bethlehem, Pa. Altobello recently served as vice president of academic and student affairs at Labouré College of Healthcare in Milton, Mass.
Events United and Studio Lab will be accepting applications for their summer internship program, designed for high school and college students passionate about live events, studio production, marketing and more. The high school internship program offers two five-week sessions during the summer, and the college program spans 12 weeks.

ENGINEERING
The New Hampshire Executive Council has approved a $50 million bond facilitated through the NH Business Finance Authority to support Green-Source Fabrication’s new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Charlestown to produce UHDI (Ultra High-Density Interconnect) printed circuit boards (PCBs). With the expansion, Green-Source plans to retain 142 existing jobs and create an additional 50 to 100 jobs, with plans to collaborate with New Hampshire high schools and colleges to recruit new talent, providing students with internship and full-time opportunities in UHDI PCB manufacturing.
HEALTH CARE
FedPoint, a federal benefits administrator and marketplace operator, is now accepting nominations for its annual nursing scholarships program, which awards four $5,000 scholarships, with recipients to be announced in May during National Nurses Week. NONPROFITS
Granite VNA, a nonprofit home health and hospice agency, raised more than $57,000 during its recent Season of Remembrance campaign, to support hospice services for residents in 72 New Hampshire communities. Nearly 400 businesses and individuals generously supported the campaign, which ran from Nov. 1 to Dec. 31, 2024
The Currier Museum of Art, SEE Science Center, Manchester Historic Association, and the Aviation Museum of NH have launched a “Manchester Museums” collaboration, which includes a new “portal” website at manchestermuseumsnh.org with information and links to each of the four institutions, plus printed marketing materials, a new logo for the shared effort, and promotional items to help visitors and long-time residents explore the area’s cultural attractions. The effort is funded by shared contributions from each of the four institutions, and contributing to the effort was Cookson Communications of Manchester.
TD Charitable Foundation, the giving arm of TD Bank, announced $7.2 million in available grants of $200,000 each through its 19th annual Housing for Everyone grant program. The 2025 program focuses on nonprofit organizations that provide post-purchase resources and solutions to low- and moderate-income individuals and families facing challenges in maintaining homeownership. Peter Burger, president and shareholder at Orr & Reno, has joined the board of trustees for Catholic Charities NH. Burger has served as the board chair for NH Public Radio, Granite Edvance, the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce, and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central New Hampshire, in addition to being the current vice chair of the Concord Housing Authority. He has been regularly cited in the Best Lawyers in America for commercial finance law, corporate law and real estate law since 2005.
The New Hampshire Fiscal Policy Institute has appointed Karen Emis-Williams, director of Concord Human Services (CHS) for the City of Concord, to its board of directors. At CHS, Karen oversees the city’s efforts to provide interim, emergency assistance to individuals and families in need. Before joining CHS in 2016, Karen served as acting deputy manager at Nashua City Welfare, further expanding her expertise in supporting communities across the state.

The Boulos Company announced the sale of 150 Griffin Road, Unit 2, a 3,805-square-foot medical office condominium in Portsmouth. The property was sold by GBOS Realty, LLC to 150 Griffin Road, LLC for $1,025,000. Kent White and Caitlin Burke of The Boulos Company represented the seller in this transaction.

Michael Paquette has joined Badger Peabody & Smith Realty as a new agent based in the Franconia office. After serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, Paquette opened and operated a store on Littleton’s Main Street, and later on was the food and beverage manager at the Omni Mount Washington Resort.

Shaheen & Gordon, P.A. has partnered with the NH Small Business Development Center (NH SBDC) to provide free legal consulting services to eligible businesses. This effort is part of NH SBDC’s new program, LeAF, which offers up to five hours of free consulting services to clients in the fields of legal, accounting and financial advisory services. Eligible business clients must either be a Very Small Business (VSB) with fewer than 10 employees or a Socially or Economically Disadvantaged (SEDI) business owner. They also must have or plan to apply for a government-backed small business loan and be a NH SBDC client. Through LeAF, Shaheen & Gordon business lawyers can provide services including business entity formation guidance, contract drafting and review, corporate governance advice, and lease or loan agreement reviews. Bernstein Shur has hired Kaveri Subbarao as the firm’s new chief executive officer, effective Feb. 10, as a replacement for Joan Fortin, who announced her retirement as CEO in May. Subbarao has over two decades of experience in legal and business environments, including in roles such as global executive director of strategic growth and the litigation practice at Clark Hill; principal with Gallasia Inc., her own consulting firm; chief strategy officer and general counsel for Elias/Savion and Velocity Broadcasting, Inc.; and the chief marketing officer and corporate and media/entertainment attorney at Cohen and Grigsby P.C. She started practicing law at Reed Smith, LLP, where she was a corporate and media/entertainment attorney.
Karen Prince named AGCNH president
Karen Prince, President/CEO of R.M. Piper, Inc. of Plymouth, was named the president of the Associated General Contractors of New Hampshire for 2025. R.M. Piper was founded in 1976 by Karen’s father, Richard “Dick” Piper. Karen has worked at the company since 1992, and by 1994 she was the full-time office manager and bookkeeper while pursuing her second college degree. She discovered true enthusiasm for the industry, and in 1997 embraced the opportunity to take charge of business operations as the corporate administrator. In June 2022, Karen was appointed President/CEO.
