CONCORD: New Hampshire’s public higher education systems have created over 100 pathways to help students transition from community colleges to bachelor’s degree programs at state universities. This collaboration between the Community College System of New Hampshire (CCSNH) and the University System of New Hampshire (USNH) ensures smoother, more efficient educational progress, reducing costs and filling workforce needs. Students at any of the seven community colleges can follow clear routes to bachelor’s degrees at Keene State, Plymouth State or the University of New Hampshire. To help students navigate these new pathways, CCSNH has trained advisors available at each community college and USNH sponsors a centralized Outreach and Enrollment Center that assists with applications, financial aid resources, and other support services available to students in both systems.

MANCHESTER: Cookson Communications is expanding its reach into Maine through its exclusive engagement with the PR Consultants Group (PRCG). PRCG will provide Cookson with the ability to quickly tap a wide range of professionals across the U.S. who can collaborate to support clients at a national level. PRCG members execute projects for national and international brands focusing on strategic planning and creative execution in media relations, social media, promotions, crisis communications, event development and management, and much more.

CONCORD: The Merrimack County Saving Bank Foundation awarded $57,170 to 23 local nonprofit organizations within its service areas. Recipients included: Boys and Girls Club of Greater Nashua, Circle Program, Concord Hospital Trust, Connor’s Climb Foundation, Daniel Webster Council/Boy Scouts of America, Family Promise of Greater Concord, Family Promise of Southern New Hampshire, Families in Transition, Friends of NH Drug Courts, Friends of Tucker Free Library, Friends of Concord Crew, Friends Program, The Front Door Agency, Girls Inc. of New Hampshire, The Granite YMCA, Marguerite’s Place, Future In Sight, Overcomers Refugee Services, The Pittsfield Youth Workshop, Riverbend Community Mental Health, SEE Science Center, Waypoint and YMCA of Greater Nashua.

BOSTON, MASS.: For the 11th consecutive year, Eastern Bank has received a score of 100 on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2025 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a nationwide benchmarking survey and report measuring corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ+ workplace equality. The CEI rates companies on detailed criteria including non-discrimination policies across business entities; equitable benefits for LGBTQ+ workers and their families; supporting an inclusive culture; and corporate social responsibility.

CONCORD: The NH Department of Revenue Administration (NHDRA) is increasing education efforts for landowners, municipalities and loggers to help them understand and follow New Hampshire’s laws and regulations regarding logging and timber harvesting with a written guide on New Hampshire’s Timber Tax, which is accessible on the NHDRA website. The guide provides an overview of the tax and how it is assessed, while also providing links and directions to forms, resources and additional information, including insight into regulations, like penalties and fines, for noncompliance.
