1. The Southern New Hampshire Chamber of Commerce recognized National Manufacturing Day on Oct. 4 with member Univex Corporation in a ribboncutting event, pictured. Chamber staff learned about the company’s over-75-year history and toured its facility, which produces food industry equipment like mixers, slicers and dough processors.


2. Merrimack County Savings Bank is continuing its sponsorship of Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of New Hampshire, which occured this year on Oct. 27 at Concord’s Memorial Field. The bank’s $10,000 sponsorship supports Survivor Place, a tent providing breast cancer survivors a space to connect.


3. Bedford-based Fully Promoted hosted a client appreciation event at the Bedford Event Center in September, welcoming over 200 local business leaders, chamber members and customers. As the company offers branded apparel and promotional products, attendees could meet with vendors in the sector, create custom hats with NH-themed patches and earn prizes.


4. Holderness recycling company Resource Management Inc. celebrated its 30th anniversary on Sept. 21, holding a pig roast for employees and friends. The company, founded in 1994, recycles over 300,000 cubic yards of wood ash, paper fiber and biosolids annually. 5. Keene’s Revo Casino contributed $20,118.13 to John Humiston American Legion Post 11 in Jaffrey on Sept. 18. The contribution pays for physical accessibility improvements at Post 11’s over-century-old building. The Post completed an aluminum ramp project and is installing a new elevator, and there are plans to make its restrooms ADA-compatible. 6. Lakes Region Community Developers and Lakes Region Mental Health Center are collaborating to fund furnishings for Laconia’s Bay Street Apartments, which will offer 12 efficiency units to low-income people experiencing homelessness or at risk of it. Meredith Village Savings Bank has contributed $3,400 to furnish one unit in the development, planned for completion in spring 2025.


7. The NH Business Finance Authority announced its annual Granite State Awards recipients, celebrating local business lenders’ efforts using NHBFA programs to help businesses grow. Recognized were Ike Papadopoulos of Stifel; John Bortolotto of Mascoma Bank, second from left; Peter Rayno of Enterprise Bank, last on right; and Katie Reid of Bank of New Hampshire. Meredith Village Savings Bank, whose Traynor Cully is shown first on left, was awarded the “Veteran Deal of the Year.” Between Bortolotto and Rayno is NHBFA’s James Key-Wallace.


8. Concord Hospital Trust held its 19th annual Pedaling for Payson bicycle race on Sept. 7 in Hopkinton, raising over $159,000 in support of Nurse Navigation at the Payson Center for Cancer Care. The center’s Nurse Navigators manage treatment schedules, supporting over 170 patients this year. There were 241 cyclists in this year’s race.
