1. Somerville, Massachusetts-based climate tech startup Revvit partnered with Foxfire Property Management in Concord to bring a Level 1 electric vehicle charger to Foxfire’s properties around the state. The first charger was installed at Foxfire’s main office parking lot on Storrs Street in downtown Concord in August. 2. The Dalton Shumsky Foundation hosted its sixth annual Addiction Awareness Motorcycle Ride in Hudson on Aug. 24, supporting children and families who’ve experienced grief, stress and loss of a loved one from addiction. The event generated $5,000 for the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Nashua’s program, Camp Mariposa Nashua, donated to the program on Sept. 25. Camp Mariposa Nashua offers year-round addiction prevention and mentoring for youth affected by family members with substance use disorders.

3. Community members, supporters and staff of Catholic Charities NH joined for the organization’s 2024 Annual Gathering, an awards ceremony honoring those within CCNH. Community Services Director Mark Cousineau, shown second from left, received the “In His Footsteps” award. Supporter Jay Buckley received the Guardian Angel Award; and outgoing Board of Trustees members Russ Ouellette, E.J. Powers and Tina Legere were recognized for their service to CCNH.

4. Nearly 100 people gathered at the Susan McLane Memorial Garden in Concord on Sept. 20 to recognize the Granite VNA Hospice House’s 30th anniversary. The facility opened in April 1994 and was the state’s first. Granite VNA President and CEO Beth Slepian is shown speaking at the anniversary ceremony. She was followed by U.S. Rep. Annie Kuster, whose mother was the garden’s namesake for supporting legislation on end-of-life advanced directives and hospice services.

5. Seacoast Mexican restaurant Cinco’s Cantina has opened a new location in Rochester, its third after originally opening in Dover in 2014, then Epping over five years later. Cinco’s owners, brothers Crescencio and Miguel Tellez, held a ribbon-cutting with employees and the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce last month after the Rochester restaurant opened in August.

6. Meredith Village Savings Bank has continued support of The Music Hall’s 2024-25 School Days Series Season, contributing $10,000 to the Portsmouth venue. School Days introduces pre-K through middle school students to professional theater performance. MVSB’s sponsorship will allow 8,000 Seacoast Region students with complimentary tickets, transportation and lunch.

7.. Bedford nonprofit Fueled by Kids, which seeks to help food-insecure youth, received $85,553.80 from charitable gaming at Manchester’s Revo Casino on Aug. 14. The contribution supports the nonprofit’s continued service providing more than 1,000 weekend food bags each week to children across 21 Queen City schools.
