2024 CYBERSECURITY SUMMIT

WHAT: The NH Small Business Development Center and NH Tech Alliance are excited to announce the Cybersecurity Summit, designed to provide valuable insights and practical strategies for businesses navigating the complexities of cybersecurity and privacy. The event will bring together industry leaders, cybersecurity experts and legal professionals for a day of comprehensive sessions and discussions. The agenda for the day includes a range of topics essential for businesses aiming to strengthen their cybersecurity posture and ensure compliance with emerging privacy laws.

NHPR’S CIVICS 101 SUMMIT
WHEN: Saturday, Sept. 28, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
WHERE: Walker Auditorium, Southern New Hampshire University
WHAT: NH Public Radio, NH Civics and New Hampshire PBS are hosting the first-ever Civics 101 Summit, an interactive event designed to inspire and engage community members, educators and students to become active and effective participants within our New Hampshire communities. Summit attendees will experience a live production of NHPR’s award-winning Civics 101 podcast, hosted by Hannah McCarthy and Nick Capodice. In this episode, Beyond Your Vote, participants will learn how to harness their skills and expertise to make real change civically and politically. Audience members can expect a dynamic and interactive experience including live, in-the-moment conversations that will be later featured on the podcast and NHPR’s airwaves.

ROCKTOBERFEST

WHERE: McIntyre Ski Area, 50 Chalet Way, Manchester
WHAT: Following two successful years of GRANITEER, Granite Outdoor Alliance is introducing ROCKTOBERFEST, a more intimate outdoor festival at McIntyre Ski Area. ROCKTOBERFEST brings together brands, inspiring films, music and nature lovers to celebrate the outdoorsy way of life we love in New Hampshire. ROCKTOBERFEST is a prequel to GRANITEER 2025, which will be a full-weekend, large-scale outdoor lifestyle festival in Manchester next fall. We’re building momentum, capacity, and connections to prepare, but still want to deliver an exciting festival for you this year!

FUTURE-FOCUS MANCHESTER FORUM WITH MAYOR JAY RUAIS
WHEN: Tuesday, Oct. 1, 7:30 – 9 a.m.

WHAT: In collaboration with Mayor Ruais, the Greater Manchester Chamber is hosting a new forum, Future-Focus Manchester. These sessions are aimed at shedding light on the critical preparedness steps Manchester is taking and needs to pursue to accommodate the anticipated growth. Each forum will focus on a specific topic related to urban development, including zoning, housing, education, child care, first responders, homelessness, transportation and infrastructure. In the first Future-Focus Manchester, Mayor Ruais and Director of Planning & Community Development Jeffrey Belanger will discuss a recent hot topic and how it will impact the future: Manchester’s zoning amendments.

20TH ANNUAL WOMEN BUILDING COMMUNITY LUNCHEON
