ACCORDING to the Pew Research Center, there are more than 18 million living veterans in the United States today, representing about 6% of the country’s adult population. Veterans who served in the last 30 years make up the largest number of living veterans, according to Veterans Affairs. The VA projects that the number of living veterans will continue to decline over the next 25 years, with women, Hispanic and Black adults, and adults under 50 making up larger shares of the total veteran population.

A recent study of Glassdoor information by ResumeBlaze found that the top sector for happy employees is the legal profession, with the highest number of companies rated 4.5 stars and above by employees. The highest-performing area in that sector that led to such high marks is the level of diversity and inclusion. The second-best job sector to work in is education with 18% of employers rated 4.5 stars and above, followed by retail and food services in third.

WALLETHUB recently released its Q2 2023 credit card debt analysis, which found that the average person in the U.S. has credit card debt of $5,910. The average credit card balance is $10,170 per household — a 15% increase year over year. The region with the highest average debt is New England with $6,295 per individual.

IN 2022, estimated total U.S. daily newspaper circulation (print and digital combined) was 20.9 million for both weekday and Sunday, down 8% and 10% respectively from 2021 based on findings from the Pew Research Center. In Q4 2022, there were an average of 8.8 million monthly unique visitors (across all devices) for the U.S.’s top 50 newspapers. This is down 20% from 2021, which itself was a 20% decrease from 2020.

Eleven percent of respondents to the ResumeBuilder.com survey say they’ve paid TikTok creators for career-related services, with 88% saying these decisions have made a positive impact on their lives. One in five Gen Zers have made decisions on advice they receive from TikTok creators.
