A new study published by CommercialCafe ranked the top 20 tech hubs across the Northeast, and Manchester, NH, placed third on the list, outranking New York, N.Y. The Queen City has the second-highest ratio of tech employment opportunities, with 55 of every 1,000 occupations within the sector earning median earnings of $99,039 annually.

A new national survey from Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Voices today shows 78% of small business owners are concerned about their ability to access capital, and 53% say they can’t afford to take out a loan due to current interest rates.

THE Goldman Sachs survey also found that, while 43% of Black business owners have applied for a loan or line of credit in the past year, only 26% reported receiving all of the funding they requested — versus 51% of white small business owners. When thinking about the past four years, 31% say 2023 has been the most difficult year for business – only 6% more said 2020’s pandemic year was more difficult (37%).

FORBES Advisor compared all 50 states to rank the best states for health care, and New Hampshire ranked sixth behind Vermont (No. 5), Connecticut (No. 4), Rhode Island (No. 3), Massachusetts (No. 2), and Minnesota (No. 1). Findings also showed that there were 15.33 primary care physicians available per 10,000 residents, and the average annual premium for employees with single coverage through employer-provided health insurance was $1,952.

WHEN analyzing Americans’ valuation of college, Intelligent.com found that 27% of respondents say college isn’t worth it, with one in eight advanced degree holders say the level of education they achieved was not worthwhile. Additionally, 91% of parents with children under 18 want their child to go to college, but 69% of parents who feel college isn’t worth it still want their child to go.
