NASHUA: City Arts Nashua, a nonprofit volunteer arts organization, announced that it will cease operations at the end of the year after 20 years of service to the greater Nashua community. Formed in 2004, the organization’s mission has been to enrich the quality of life in the region by providing leadership to support and strengthen arts and culture.

CONCORD: Home health care and hospice agency Granite VNA welcomed James Manahan as its chief financial officer. Manahan brings nearly 30 years of home health care financial management experience to the agency, holding various roles with the University of Vermont Health Network, Alice Hyde Medical Center, VNA of the Treasure Coast in Vero Beach, Florida, and with Franklin County Home Health Agency in Vermont.

WASHINGTON, D.C.: U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), chair of the U.S. Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, and U.S. Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA), ranking member of the SBC, have recognized October 2023 as National Women’s Small Business Month. This resolution underscores the significant contributions of women small business owners and women entrepreneurs to the small business community as a whole.

BANGOR: Bangor Savings Bank has promoted Jay Muth to senior vice president, community development banking and CRA officer at the bank’s State Street location in Bangor, Maine. With 35 years of banking experience, including 16 with Bangor Savings, Jay has held many roles. Currently, he serves on the Finance and Investment Committee of Four Directions Development Corporation, the Investment Committee of Evernorth, and the Penobscot Housing Fund to create solutions for the affordable housing crisis.
