1. Bar Harbor Bank & Trust recently donated $2,500 to the New London Conservation Commission to support the organization’s project to improve the safety of the Philbrick-Cricenti Bog boardwalk. 2. St. Mary’s Bank has awarded $20,000 to four nonprofit organizations. 3. Meredith Village Savings Bank supported the 20th season of the Winnipesaukee Playhouse in Meredith with a $3,000 sponsorship. The 20th Season Gala, on Sept. 30 at 5:30 p.m., is an evening of dinner and entertainment featuring a performance celebrating 20 years of live community and educational theatre.



4. Northeast Credit Union opened its new 3,081-square-foot branch located at 750 Lafayette Road in Portsmouth below Keller Williams Coastal Realty. A ribbon-cutting ceremony took place with Mayor Deaglan McEachern, Northeast leadership, the credit union’s board of directors and other members.



5. Brady Sullivan Properties helped 175 girls from Girls Inc. of New Hampshire programs in Nashua and Manchester receive a new pair of Crocs shoes. Pictured: 85 girls from the Girls Inc. 6. In advance of New Hampshire’s and National Suicide Prevention Week, Sept. 10-16, the NH Suicide Prevention Council hosted a press conference with Gov. Chris Sununu and council representatives from the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, NAMI New Hampshire, and the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services to discuss statewide efforts and resources geared to prevent suicide. Speakers highlighted the community impact of NH Rapid Response/988, the launch of Strong As Granite, a new public awareness campaign, and the NH Suicide Prevention Council’s new website, offering a statewide resource for suicide prevention.



7. Merrimack County Savings Bank recently announced the winner of its 2nd Annual Dog Days of Summer photo contest. When put to public vote on Instagram, Ellie, an 18-month-old yellow Labrador retriever, secured the most “likes” of the top five finalists. As The Merrimack’s top dog of 2023, Ellie earned herself $500 and $500 to her local animal rescue nonprofit of choice, The Humane Society for Greater Nashua.



8. Lakes Region Community College hosted the 2023 Toyota-T-TEN National Instructors Conference, which attracted nearly 100 Toyota T-TEN instructors from technical schools and colleges across the country. The event brought educators, industry professionals and lifelong learners together, all dedicated to advancing automotive education and pushing the boundaries of innovation in the field.
