The regional accounting firm of Nathan Wechsler & Company has added three associates to the firm: Nathan Bulluck, Matthew Gilroy and Catherine Soucy. All three started at Nathan Wechsler as interns — Bulluck and Soucy in 2022 and Gilroy in 2021.
BUSINESS ORGANIZATIONS
The Business & Industry Association has added Carole Alfano to its staff as director of member relations, a new position, responsible for coordinating the association’s outreach, recruitment and retention of member businesses across New Hampshire. Alfano previously worked as a communicator and speech writer for the state Senate, the state Supreme Court and the Pease Development Authority as well as at Nashua City Hall and on Beacon Hill.

Rachel Eames has been named the 2023 Realtor of the Year by the Seacoast Board of Realtors. Eames, Realtor with RE/MAX Capital Realty & Coastal Living, was presented with the award by Kevin Kneeland of 2022 Seacoast Realtor of the Year on June 14 at Flag Hill Distiller & Winery in Lee. In addition, the Seacoast board recognized Paula Frenette of Embrace Home Loans, Portsmouth, as 2023 Affiliate of the Year, and Laura Pouliot of The Gove Group, Stratham, was presented with the board’s annual Good Neighbor Award.

Polaris Direct, a Hooksett-based print and direct marketing services company, has been recertified by the Center for Women & Enterprise Certification Committee as a WBENC Women’s Business Enterprise, the 19th year it has been WBE-certified.
CONSTRUCTION
Manchester-based Newforma, a provider of project information management software for architects, engineers, contractors and owners, has named Mike Lewis as its chief marketing officer. Lewis has 25 years of experience in marketing and sales management and leadership. Before joining Newforma, he was vice president of marketing at Everbridge.
Newforma also has announced the promotions of Marge Hart to senior vice president of product management and Tammy Fuller to senior vice president of software engineering.
Merrimack College picked Procon for hockey rink renovation The Lawler Rink at Merrimack College in North Andover, Mass., to support its Division 1 hockey team. Hooksett-based design and construction firm Procon is overseeing the project, which includes a new luxury pavilion with premium seating, new luxury suites and new designated areas for media, broadcasts and the Merrimack Marching Band.

Tiffany Eddy of Dunbarton, who since 2012 has operated her own media firm, Tiffany Eddy Media, specializing in strategic communications, media relations and professional development, has been appointed to the Community College System of New Hampshire board of trustees for a three-year term. Prior to that, she spent over two decades as a broadcast journalist at WMUR-TV.

Members of the NH Electric Cooperative have returned four incumbents to the company’s board of directors: William Darcy of Benton, Madeline McElaney of Plymouth and Harry Viens of Center Harbor were reelected to three-year terms, and Leo Dwyer of Sandwich was reelected to a one-year term.
Chris Proulx, outside sales representative at Proulx Oil & Propane, has been named to the inaugural class of Leadership in Energy Ambassadors, a group of industry leaders who will address propane’s roles in the transition to clean energy.

Mahreana Hopson has joined TFMoran as structural project manager in the Bedford office. Hopson is a licensed professional engineer in Connecticut and New Hampshire. Her recent experience includes management, design and documentation of multistory steel structures with concrete foundations, including occasional mass timber and masonry elements.
ARCHITECTURE
ReArch Company has hired Jim Gardner as a senior estimator. Gardner, who will work out of the company’s office in Lebanon, has 40 years of estimating and construction expertise throughout New England.

Cambridge Trust Company has hired Jeffrey Smith as head of its wealth management group. He takes on the role from Jennifer Pline, who retired at the end of June.
Susan Renaud, senior financial advisor, has been named strategy and business transition planning director at Ledyard Financial Advisors. She has also been appointed to the Ledyard Financial Advisors Senior Leadership Team. In addition, Jeff Trombly has been named Medicare insurance specialist, in addition to his senior portfolio manager position.
HRCU, Holy Rosary Credit Union, has hired Terry Wiegelman as director of marketing. Wiegelman most recently led the marketing initiatives at Members First Credit Union.
Joseph Guyton of Rye Beach, owner of Portsmouth-based The Guyton Group, has been named as a President’s Council qualifier by the Guardian Life Insurance Company of America, one of the highest honors awarded each year by Guardian to financial professionals who demonstrate outstanding service and dedication to their clients. This is the 15th time Joseph has been recognized for this distinction.

H. Andy Crews was recently confirmed for a second three-year term as a member of the NH Lottery Commission.

Helene Thibodeau has been promoted to chief operating officer and chief clinical officer of Northeast Rehabilitation Hospital in Salem. She joined Northeast a decade ago as vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer.
Elliot Health System has announced that Lindsey Whelan, who works in its Trauma and Acute Care Surgery Department, has been recognized by Rivier University as its 2023 Outstanding Nurse/Healthcare Professional. As trauma program manager, she maintains Elliot Hospital’s accreditation and program development as a Level II Trauma Center.
Modern Healthcare has named Dartmouth Health CEO and President Joanne M. Conroy to its 2023 list of the 50 Most Influential Clinical Executives. The 2023 class were chosen based on innovative recruitment strategies, bold expansion maneuvers and an ongoing commitment to advocacy, the publication said.
Under the leadership of Dr. Diane Riley, an orthopedic surgeon, Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital has been recognized by the Institute of Advanced Ultrasound Guided Procedures as a national Center of Excellence Physician for carpal tunnel release with UltraGuideCTR and real-time ultrasound guidance.
Riley was the first surgeon in New England to offer carpal tunnel release with UltraGuideCTR and ultrasound guidance.

Optima Dermatology & Medical Aesthetics has leased 6,870 square feet of space at 31 Stiles Rd., Salem. Hugo Overdeput and Andrew Robbins of Colliers’ Manchester office represented the landlord, and Sean McQuaid of Eastern Retail Properties Inc., represented the tenant in the transaction. Built in 2013, the two-story 50,456-square-foot medical building also is home to Parkland Urgent Care, Salem Radiology, and Lahey Center for Oncology and Hematology.
The sale of the 528 and 532 Calef Highway in Barrington, which consists of 4.29 acres with three buildings totaling 5,514 square feet. Andrew Ward of Colliers’ Portsmouth office, represented the seller, TRS Knight Family Rev Trust, and Deane Navaroli of William & Reeves Commercial Real Estate represented the buyer, Desaulniers Commons LLC, in the sale. The property is the sight of Knight’s Garage and The Barrington Depot shopping center, which is anchored by Aroma Joe’s.

Jim Merrill, shareholder and managing partner of Bernstein Shur’s New Hampshire office, has been elected to serve as a member of the firm’s board of directors. Merrill maintains a full-service public affairs practice, providing strategic, grassroots, government relations and communications solutions to corporate and nonprofit clients engaged in complex matters. Over the past 20 years, he has also served as a senior adviser to multiple presidential campaigns, helping candidates navigate New Hampshire’s presidential primary.
Devine Millimet shareholder Thomas Quarles Jr. is the 2023 recipient of the NH Bar Association’s Distinguished Service to the Profession award. Quarles, a litigator at Devine Millimet for over 35 years, was a member of the NHBA’s Client Indemnity Fund, used to compensate victims of lawyer theft, which was replaced after the NH Supreme Court established the Public Protection Fund Committee. Since 2013, he has served as chair of that panel.
TRANSPORTATION
Merchants Fleet, the Hooksett-based national fleet management company, has hired Kirk Hoffman as senior vice president and chief financial officer. He most recently worked at BNP Paribas as managing director and head of capital goods and fleet coverage.
NONPROFITS
Easterseals NH has announced that Kelly Wood has been promoted to senior vice president, controller, and Amy Joslin has been promoted to senior vice president, practice management. In addition, Kristen McGuigan and Bruce Bacon have been hired to the newly created positions of senior vice president, early childhood services and senior vice president, human resources, respectively.
NH Businesses for Social Responsibility has named two new members to its board of directors: Marianne Bradley, head of marketing at Normandeau Associates, and Flo Nicolas, founder and chief operating officer of DEI Directives.
Catholic Charities NH has hired Christine Charman as its grants manager. Prior to joining Catholic Charities NH, she was the grants and philanthropy administrator for Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital in Colebrook. She is also the former executive director of the Upper Connecticut Valley Community Coalition in Colebrook.
Mary Ellen Jackson has been appointed to Hope on Haven Hill’s board of directors. Jackson, a consultant for New Hampshire nonprofits, previously, she served as executive director of HUB Family Resource Center, Family Strength and the NH Center for Nonprofits.
Northeast Rehab. Hospital names new CEO
The Northeast Rehabilitation Hospital Network, Salem, has named Chuck Champagne as its CEO.
Champagne, who joined the network in 2012 as CFO — a title he’ll retain — also has been chief operating officer since 2020.
He succeeds John F. Prochilo, CEO of the network for 37 years, who recently retired.
