GREAT AMERICAN RIBFEST 2023

WHERE: The Biergarten, 221 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack

WHAT: Join 15,000 of your friends and family at the Great American Ribfest & Food Truck Festival! Taking place at Anheuser-Busch Brewery in Merrimack, this outdoor festival features food, live music, beer, kid’s activities, and supports local charities. Proceeds raised from Ribfest benefit the Merrimack Rotary Club, which annually supports local needs from college scholarships for local youths; Coats for Kids; Habitat for Humanity; three local food pantries; Pure Water for the World; and many other important causes. Ribfest also supports Daniel Webster Council BSA, Team Phoenix 4-H Robotics Club, Nashua West Rotary, and more.

TRIP TO ITALY’S AMALFI COAST & ROME INFO NIGHT

WHAT: Join the Nashua Chamber and community members for a trip to Italy’s Amalfi Coast & Rome, March 4-11, 2024, with stops in Sorrento, Capri, Ravello, Positano, Salerno, Pompeii and Rome. To prepare for the excursion, the chamber will hold a Trip Info Night to not only hear all about the trip but also give you a chance to ask any questions about traveling abroad. “THE CRASH OF DELTA FLIGHT 723” AUTHOR SIGNING AND PRESENTATION

WHEN: Thursday, July 27, 7 p.m.

WHERE: Aviation Museum of NH, 27 Navigator Rd., Londonderry

WHAT: With the approach of the accident’s 50th anniversary, the crash of Delta Flight 723 remains the deadliest air disaster in New England history. Looking back at the crash, questions arise anew. What caused it? What changes resulted from it? How was the investigation into the crash impeded by the Watergate scandal, just then unfolding? Who was on the plane? What were their stories? Paul Houle, a former U.S. Army traffic accident investigator and author of “The Crash of Delta Flight 723,” will examine these questions and more during a program and book signing at the Aviation Museum of NH. All proceeds support the nonprofit museum’s youth aviation education outreach, including its “Flights of Discovery” summer camp and its high school student plane-building program.
