Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center has named Tracy Galvin as its new chief nursing officer.

Tracy Galvin, who started working for the Lebanon-based DHMC on May 30, previously worked at the 345-bed Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington, Mass., where she had been chief nursing officer and senior vice president since 2015. She started working at Lahey as a nurse in 1987.

Tracy Galvin is Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center’s new chief nursing officer.

As chief nursing officer at Lahey, Galvin’s focus on recruitment, retention and professional development resulted in high employee engagement scores and low staff turnover rates, said Susan A. Reeves, chief nursing executive of Dartmouth Health and executive vice president of DHMC.

Galvin, who grew up in New Hampshire, is currently enrolled as a doctoral student at Regis College, where she is pursuing her doctorate in nursing practice.
