CANVAS ART EXHIBIT AT AMHERST LABEL
WHEN: Sunday, April 30, 2 – 6 p.m.
WHERE: Amherst Label, 15 Westchester Dr., Milford
WHAT: To acknowledge the manufacturer’s 45th anniversary, Amherst Label is mounting an art exhibit entitled “CANVAS,” celebrating “the art of the can.” The exhibit spotlights the original art featured on Amherst Label’s customers’ labels, specifically craft beer cans. The opening day includes tours and tastings of the beer batches featured in the exhibit, where the work of more than 15 artists will be exhibited, with a show of regional artist Stanley Hallett’s art. (Hallett was the uncle of Amherst Label’s Nick Calvetti, the owner of the company until it was acquired by Inovar Packaging Group in March of 2023.)

Business Lab (formerly known as Startup Lab) is a fast-paced, interactive program of seven classes held over seven weeks, designed to help entrepreneurs create, refine, implement and present their businesses. The program covers the essentials of business strategy, finance and profitability, marketing and sales, business planning, and project implementation.

WHAT: Tens of thousands of visitors are expected to attend from Manchester and beyond for the 2023 Taco Tour Manchester, where participating restaurants will showcase unique culinary twists on the taco for patrons to enjoy at only $3 each. New this year, the event will include a concert in Veteran’s Park, thanks to the support of 92.5 The River.

RUN2RESCUE 5K TO SUPPORT SERVICE DOGS FOR VETERANS

WHAT: Run a quiet 5K through Mine Falls in Nashua to help support Operation Delta Dog — one of the few races that you can take your leashed four-legged running buddy along! The event will feature a DJ and finish-line photos for all runners. All money raised goes directly to providing service dogs for veterans through Operation Delta Dog. Sponsorships still available.

WHAT: New Hampshire’s largest gathering in support of individuals who are blind and visually impaired is a 1-mile loop through Concord, starting and ending on the State House lawn. The event includes speakers, raffles, a DJ, and fun photo opportunities. This year’s grand marshal is none other than NH native Calle Walton, a young actress starring in the CW Network’s hit show “In The Dark.”
