1. Merrimack County Savings Bank has supported Concord’s annual 1883 Black Ice Pond Hockey Championship, which took place March 17 to 19, with an $8,000 sponsorship. The event’s producer, the 1883 Black Ice Hockey Association, is a nonprofit organization that supports recreational activities and other causes in the Concord community while honoring the city’s rich hockey heritage. 2. Bar Harbor Bank & Trust (BHBT) has donated $5,000 to New London Barn Playhouse (NLBP) to provide tuition assistance to youth from low- and moderate-income families who want to participate in the organization’s arts education programs. 3. Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital (APD), a member of Dartmouth Health, has donated two electrocardiogram (EKG) machines to a hospital in Ukraine caring for wounded soldiers and civilians, as well as the West Lebanon Comprehensive Treatment Center, which treats patients in recovery from substance use disorder. 4. New Hampshire Group (NHG), owner of four New Hampshire charitable gaming facilities, has given charitable gaming donations totaling over $128,000 to two New Hampshire nonprofits: $87,669 to the NH Coalition to End Homelessness and $40,657 to NH Housing Benefits. 5. The YMCA of Concord, a branch of The Granite YMCA, was awarded $150,000 dollars in grant funding by the Merrimack County Commissioners to support the Child Development Center playground. The award is part of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding from which the Commissioners have discretion to support the needs of area nonprofits. 6. Franklin Savings Bank (FSB) recently purchased $15,000 in CDFA tax credits to assist the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central New Hampshire (BGCCNH) with transforming the Penacook Community Center into a new 7,500-square-foot child care and youth development center.
