1. The NH Community Development Finance Authority (CDFA), in coordination with the Governor’s Office for Emergency Relief, is launching the Community Center Investment Program in order to provide $20 million in American Rescue Plan Act resources to nonprofits and municipalities to help rehabilitate, expand or build community centers across the state. CDFA will host a series of virtual webinars for those interested in learning more about the program, and how to apply for available resources.



2. The Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester (MHCGM) received a $5,000 donation from Granite State Plumbing & Heating (GSPH) in support of the growing need for mental health services in New Hampshire. 3. AmeriHealth Caritas New Hampshire — a Medicaid managed care plan that helps underserved populations receive care, stay well and build healthy communities — has donated $9,500 to the Manchester Winter Relief Fund, that helps address the immediate needs of those who lack stable housing. 4. Ledyard National Bank recently donated funds to two community organizations: $10,000 to Visions for Creative Housing Solutions to further support their mission to provide residential options, services and support for adults with developmental disabilities and similar disabling conditions; and $15,000 to Kimball Jenkins, which works to cultivate creativity, make arts education accessible and honor historic preservation in the state.



5. Meredith Village Savings Bank has purchased $17,500 in tax credits through the Community Development Authority to support the Warner House Association’s Carriage House Project, which is constructing a replica of the 18th-century Carriage House in downtown Portsmouth, which was demolished in the 1960s. 6. Back in December, T-BONES Great American Eatery in Hudson raised $10,000 through its annual Tips for Toys fundraiser, where food servers, bartenders and cocktail servers pooled their tips to go shopping for toys and clothing in support of the Salvation Army’s gift-giving program for children in the Greater Nashua area during the holidays.



7. Some 116 acres of land in Allenstown, initially purchased in 1997 by Laura Bonk and Phil Trowbridge (pictured), has been donated as conservation land by the family. The Society for the Protection of NH Forest raised funds — supplemented by an $8,000 grant from the Merrimack Conservation Partnership and individual donations — for the stewardship and project costs of placing the easement on the land, located on the northern boundary line of Bear Brook State Park.
