SEMINAR
SOCIAL IMPACT PLANNING: TAKE YOUR BUSINESS TO THE NEXT LEVEL
WHEN: Wednesday, Feb. 15, 9:30 a.m. – noon
WHERE: Hannah Grimes Center for Entrepreneurship, 25 Roxbury St., Keene
WHAT: The purpose of this project is to bring awareness to area business leaders on how easy it is to incorporate corporate social responsibility (CSR) into their businesses. This will include an introduction about what CSR is, what is included under that umbrella with examples, why it’s important to think about, and how implementing some simple strategies can increase company morale, boost engagement, and increase profits. The COVID-19 pandemic and social injustices for George Floyd and Brianna Taylor have changed the modern workforce. Companies are offering hybrid work models, and increasing salaries but are missing a key component; people are looking for value-aligned workplaces with a strong community presence. They want companies that take a stance on social issues whether that be its people, environment or the community at large. The program’s instructor will be Gina Burke, corporate and community engagement director at Red River.
