Kim Boulay has been named assistant vice president of member services at Service Credit Union, overseeing the operations of 16 Service Credit Union branches in the U.S. Boulay, who began her banking career at Profile Bank in 2002, joined Service Credit Union in 2003 and has served in a management role since 2005.
Oreste “Rusty” Mosca, managing director of the regional accounting firm of Nathan Wechsler & Company, was recently elected a corporator for Franklin Bankcorp, the parent company of Franklin Savings Bank and Independence Financial Advisors.
Franklin Savings Bank has named two new members to its board of directors: Jim Roberge, principal of Roberge and Company PC, and Simon Thomson, government relations representative with Sheehan Phinney Capitol Group.

The Richards Group, which is based in Brattleboro, Vt., has acquired the W.H. Shaw Insurance Agency of Manchester, Vt. Shaw Insurance’s staff will remain at their current office, located at 135 Bonnet Street, Manchester, Vermont. The Richards Group offers insurance, retirement plan and employee benefits services to clients throughout Vermont, New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
Kory Cantin of Lunenburg, Vt., has been promoted to commercial loan officer at Union Bank, working with customers in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont and New Hampshire’s North Country. Korey was born in Littleton, NH, and grew up in Lunenberg, Vt.
ACCOUNTING
Effective Jan. 1, Merrimack-based regional accounting firm Melanson PC has merged with Marcum LLP. Melanson’s 13 partners, 100 associates and four offices in Maine, Massachusetts and New Hampshire have become part of Marcum’s New England region, joining its eight already established New England offices. Marcum is based in New York City with offices throughout the U.S. as well as internationally. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Scott G. Toothaker, Melanson’s managing principal is now Marcum’s office managing partner in New Hampshire.
ENGINEERING
Matthew McCormack has joined engineering firm TFMoran as a civil project manager in the firm’s Portsmouth office. A licensed professional engineer in Maine who will be acquiring his New Hampshire license, McCormack has experience in residential, commercial and industrial site development throughout New England and Florida. He previously served as a nuclear engineer at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. TFMoran also announced that, after nearly 30 years with the firm, field surveyor Michael Burt has retired.

Winter Holden has been honored with an award in the Signage and Environmental Graphics category of the GDUSA American Graphic Design Awards for its design for the Buoy Shack in Kittery, Maine. Pulling from the colors and shapes of the Seacoast restaurant’s waterfront buildings, a buoyinspired visual identity was developed, which now extends to signage, menus and social media.

The law firm of McLane Middleton has announced the hiring of attorneys Amy M. Cann and Vineesha Sow. Cann, a member of the Litigation Department and the Employment Law and Cybersecurity Practice Groups, has over 20 years of experience as a human resources and safety professional and as a business owner before becoming an attorney. Sow, a member of the Litigation Department, focuses her practice on employment and education matters.
603 Legal Aid recently received a $140,000 grant from the NH Charitable Foundation that it says will help it facilitate the addition of an outreach coordinator, who over the course of the next two years will collaborate with New Hampshire multicultural communities and faith-based entities to address civil legal needs among traditionally underserved populations.
McLane Middleton has announced that attorney Jennifer L. Parent has been named to the firm’s Management Committee. A director in the firm’s Litigation Department, she also chairs its Business Litigation Practice Group.

The Currier Museum of Art has named Lorenzo Fusi as chief curator and curator of contemporary art. Fusi has curated over 100 exhibitions and commissioned almost 200 works. He was most recently artistic director of the Yerevan Biennial and curatorin-residence at the Griffin Art Projects in Vancouver. He previously served as artistic director of PIAC at the Fondation Prince Pierre in Monaco, and the Illingworth Kerr Gallery in Calgary.
EDUCATION
Google and TalentSprint have chosen Manchester Community College for a virtual program designed to build entry-level software developer expertise for 10 students. The students will build technical expertise and tech career readiness by TalentSprint, which will include mentoring sessions by Google. It will also include a $5,000 stipend to be awarded at intervals over the course of the 18-month program.

The Executive Council has approved the distribution of $18.6 million in grant and loan funds to three drinking and wastewater infrastructure projects in New Hampshire. The money comes from the NH Department of Services through American Rescue Plan Act funding as well as the State Drinking Water and Groundwater Trust Fund, Drinking Water State Revolving Fund and the Clean Water State Revolving Fund. The projects being funded are in Hampton, which is receiving a $1.8 million ARPA grant and a Clean Water State Revolving Fund loan of $13.8 million; the Plymouth Village Water and Sewer District, which is receiving a $1.1 million ARPA grant, a $200,000 Drinking Water and Groundwater Trust Fund grant, and two loans totaling $1.23 million; and Whispering Brook Homeowners Association, Bartlett, which is receiving a $60,000 ARPA grant and a Drinking Water State Revolving Fund loan of $240,000.
U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo has reappointed Dan Richards, CEO of Lebanon-based Global Rescue, to another two-year term on the U.S. Travel and Tourism Advisory Board.
The board is composed of 32 executives of businesses and organizations in the domestic travel and tourism industry.
NONPROFITS
A local collaborative effort has launched the Manchester Winter Relief Fund, which will be directed to ensure services and shelter to unhoused individuals in Manchester. The fund is administered by Granite United Way, with 100 percent of proceeds going to programs and services supporting this effort. Partners include the city of Manchester, Manchester Fire Department, Manchester Police Department, Manchester Health Department, Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester, 211 NH, Granite United Way, NH Food Bank, American Medical Response, Aramark and the Manchester Transit Authority. Kelly Untiet has been named the new director of development and community relations at Concordbased CATCH Neighborhood Housing.
Untiet, who has held roles in a variety of organizations in the government, nonprofit and for-profit sectors, most recently was community engagement manager with Unite Us in NH, a coordinated care network of health and social service providers, and administrator of the Office of Social and Emotional Wellness at the NH Department of Education.
She currently serves as vice president of the New Futures board of directors.
The NH Charitable Foundation has donated $3.8 million through its Community Grants Program to support the operations of 82 nonprofits serving New Hampshire communities. The foundation said contributions from donor-advised funds made it possible to increase the total amount awarded through this grants program in 2022 by more than $1 million. The Community Grants program is a competitive application program open to all qualified nonprofits that serve New Hampshire in the areas of health and well-being, environmental protection, education, housing and other basic needs, arts and culture, civic health and economic security.
The Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester has been awarded $50,000 by the NH Charitable Foundation to support services targeting children, youth and families for non-billable activities that contribute to patient and community health, safety and well-being as well as workforce incentives. The grant was made possible by gifts from the following funds: Community Crisis Action Fund 2021, New Hampshire Tomorrow Family and Youth Supports Fund, and New Hampshire Tomorrow Fund.
The NH Children’s Health Foundation has appointed Dr. Brian M. Beals of Gorham, a pediatrician with Coos County Family Health Services, Susan Stearns, of Sanbornton, executive director of NAMI New Hampshire and attorney Kristine Stoddard of Bow, Bi-State Primary Care Association’s senior director for New Hampshire Public Policy, to its board of directors. The foundation a leading private funder of children’s health in the state.
Twelve businesses from across the state helped the Society for the Protection of NH Forests reach the 2022 goal for the NH Community Development Finance Authority Tax Credit Program. The Forest Society was awarded $300,000 in tax credits through the CDFA Tax Credit Program earlier in the year to support renovation of the Carriage Barn at The Rocks as a new program and event center. The renovation will retain the historic exterior of the building and convert the interior into a net-zero energy-efficient structure featuring geothermal and solar photovoltaic systems. The Rocks is a 1,400-acre property that serves as the organization’s northern New Hampshire campus. Making the contributions were: Badger Peabody & Smith Realty; Grappone Management Company Inc.; Lumbard and Kellner LLC; Mascoma Bank; Meredith Village Savings Bank; Merrimack County Savings Bank; Milestone Engineering and Construction; Nathan Wechsler & Company; Northway Bank; ReVision Energy; Union Bank; and Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank.
Patrick McDermott has joined AARP New Hampshire as the new volunteer state president. Five years ago, McDermott joined the organization’s executive council, bringing knowledge and expertise in various areas, including community development, real estate and energy, upon retiring in 2013 after a 37-year career with Eversource.
The Brook has announced that it donated over $4 million to local charities in 2022. As a charity casino, it donates 35 percent of all gaming revenue and has provided funds to more than 100 area organizations on a rotating basis. Owned by Nevada-based Eureka Casino Resort, The Brook has distributed a total of over $8 million to such organizations as Make-A-Wish New Hampshire, Big Brothers Big Sisters of New Hampshire, Annie’s Angels and Rockingham Nutrition Meals on Wheels, the company said.
The NH Community Loan Fund has announced the addition of two new members to its board of directors: Pamela Laflamme of Milan, Berlin’s director of strategic initiatives and assistant city manager; and attorney James Kerouac of Concord, a shareholder with Bernstein Shur in Manchester.
Bank of New Hampshire recently contributed $5,000 to NeighborWorks Southern New Hampshire and its HOMEteam program in its work to develop a range of housing options for individuals and families who are at a financial disadvantage. The bank also donated $10,000 to Granite United Way to aid the nonprofit in making strategic investments that bring together government, businesses, private foundations and volunteers to positively impact the community.
Lakes Region Community Developers, Laconia, has been awarded a $20,000 grant from Rural LISC and Clayton Homes to support its healthy housing initiative that helps ensure that its units meet healthy housing standards, in particular 33 of LRCD’s multifamily buildings in Laconia, most of which are 50-to-100-year-old structures with a total of 80 affordable apartments.
USCellular has donated $84,450 in 75 wireless hot spots to the Crisis Center of Central New Hampshire to help the organization better serve families with reliable, safe and private access to the internet. The company also donated two years of service to assist the community with education programs and initiatives.
Seacoast area nonprofit Zebra Crossings has selected Debra Taylor as its next executive director, succeeding Aric Morrison, who left the position in September. Previously, Taylor was president and CEO of Sweetser, a Mainebased behavioral health and developmental service organization.
REAL ESTATE
Independent boutique hotel operator Hay Creek Hotels of Exeter is part of an investment team seeking to purchase Longfellows Hotel & Restaurant on Union Avenue in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. Hay Creek is working on renovations with Balzer & Tuck Architecture, The LA Group Landscape Architecture & Engineering and Bonacio Construction of Saratoga Springs. Bonacio Construction also will have an equity stake in the project.
The sale of a 26,000-square-foot industrial/flex building with 8,000 square feet of office space at 4 Tinkham Road in Derry has been sold to Wrap City. Hugo Overdeput of Colliers’ Manchester office, procured the buyer, G&P Holdings LLC. According to the Rockingham County Registry of Deeds, the sale price was $2.4 million. Overdeput said that Wrap City, which has several retail locations, will use the site to manufacture its potato chips on a larger scale.
Concord, Mass.-based O’Brien Commercial Properties Inc. has announced the lease of warehouse space at 120 East Hollis Street in Nashua. OCP associate Rob McGarry represented the tenant, Nagog Innovation Technology, a company that addresses after-sales problems for international e-commerce sellers. The 9,470-square-foot warehouse lease at 120 East Hollis Street was co-brokered with The Boulos Company, which represented the lessor.
The lease of 36,000 square feet at 1 Hampshire Drive in Milford by Morgan Records Management has been announced by Mike Reed of Stebbins Commercial Properties LLC, who represented the landlord, SBJ Real Estate Associates, and Roger Dieker of The Boulos Company, who represented the tenant in the transaction.
Prolman Realty Inc. has been selected by One Main Street Professional Building LLC to market for sale two net-leased office buildings to LifeStance Health, located at 1 Main St. and 8 Auburn St. in Nashua. 1 Main Street consists of 8,204 square feet on two floors to be used as counseling space by LifeStance. 8 Auburn Street consists of 2,580 square feet on two levels to be used as administrative and counseling space. LifeStance Heath, based in Scottsdale, Ariz., has some 600 centers in 32 states. Prolman also has been selected by P&P 221 Main LLC to market for lease a street-level retail/commercial space at 221 Main Street, Nashua.
The 3,570-square-foot street-level space is close to the Nashua Center for the Arts, which is scheduled to open on April 1.
RETAIL
Entering its 100th year of business, Fortin Gage Flower & Gift Shop in Nashua has been acquired by Amber Morgan. The previous owner, Jody Gage, will remain involved as a consultant during the transition period.
TECHNOLOGY
Package logistics and asset tracking technology company Position Imaging of Stratham has signed a multinational service provider agreement with NCR. Under the agreement, NCR will service Position Imaging’s iPickup Point retail fulfillment platform deployments throughout the U.S., U.K., France, Germany and Switzerland, with more international markets planned for 2023.
Jennifer E. Gilkie has been named chief marketing and communications officer for Dartmouth Health. Gilkie, who joined DH in 2017, initially served as vice president of communications and marketing for Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and Clinics and later promoted to system vice president of communications and marketing for Dartmouth Health in 2021.
Before joining DH, Gilkie served as vice president of external affairs at New York-Presbyterian’s regional hospital network and physician services organization and senior vice president and chief of staff for the 2014 NY/NJ Super Bowl Host Committee.
