1. To help advocate for New Hampshire’s mental health services, Merrimack County Savings Bank donated $10,000 to support Riverbend Community Mental Health — a private nonprofit offering comprehensive behavioral health and addiction treatment services for children, adolescents, adults and families — and NAMI New Hampshire, a grassroots organization working to improve the lives of all people affected by mental illness and suicide through support, education and advocacy.


2. The Granite YMCA was recently awarded $1 million in grant funding by Hillsborough County as part of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding for the Hillsborough County Board of Commissioners to provide for local nonprofits. 3. Wentworth-Douglass Hospital has awarded a $10,000 grant to Dover’s Triangle Club to support a new art and wellness program for those in recovery or struggling with substance use disorder. The Triangle Club serves more than 2,500 people annually, offering grief and peer support to over 55 groups each week. The Club’s Arts & Wellness in Recovery program offers free weekly meditation, yoga, drawing and painting classes.


4. To support New Hampshire families and individuals who are food insecure, New Hampshire Magazine brought back its acclaimed Meals of Thanks program this past holiday season. Through this program, sponsored by Harvard Pilgrim Health Care and Northeast Delta Dental, New Hampshire Magazine worked directly with the New Hampshire Food Bank to distribute more than 1,500 nutritious meals, prepared by the New England Tap House Grille in Hooksett, to food-insecure households.


5. North Branch Construction has donated the proceeds from the firm’s annual Safety Fine Program to Community Bridges in Concord and Lakes Region Community Developers in Laconia. In 2022, the Safety Fine Program proceeds totaled nearly $4,000, resulting in a $2,000 donation to each organization. 6. In 2022, Granite VNA invested more than $5 million in community programs and services, including $2,289,605 for subsidized health services at its Hospice House, according to the agency’s 2022 Community Benefits Report. The report shows how these charitable funds support the changing needs of the communities served by the agency, such as care for uninsured individuals, free educational opportunities, volunteerism, community health services and clinical training opportunities.


7. Bank of New Hampshire shared its support for individuals and families who are at a financial disadvantage by contributing $5,000 to Neighbor-Works Southern New Hampshire, an organization that helps to improve financial stability through sustainable housing options, financial wellness education and counseling services for first-time homebuyers.
