1. Real estate developer Dakota Partners recently celebrated the grand opening of Friars Court in Hudson, the first and only family-affordable housing community that includes two buildings with 81 one- and two-bedroom units, plus a community building for all residents to use. 2. Merrimack County Savings Bank purchased $15,000 in tax credits through the NH Community Development Finance Authority to help fund Phase 4 of the Concord – Lake Sunapee Rail Trail (CLSRT), a 2.5-mile section from Fisherville Road to Carter Hill Road in Concord. 3. Elliot Health System raised more than $250,000 during their 20th annual gala on September 16. Funds will support advanced surgical services at The Elliot with a Hybrid Operating Room suite, scheduled to open in Spring 2023, which uses state-of-the-art imaging and a comprehensive medical team to serve patients all in the same room.



4. Little Antlers Learning Center, a child care center for children aged six weeks to six years old from low- to moderate-income households, recently opened its doors in Plymouth with the help of $10,000 in tax credits from Meredith Village Savings Bank (MVSB). 5-6. On Oct. 13, the U.S. Navy League Portsmouth Council honored U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen and Ken Solinsky at the Inaugural U.S. Navy Birthday Ball. Kevin Galeaz, president of the U.S. Navy League Portsmouth Council, awarded the Captain John Paul Jones Award for Leadership in Military or Civic Affairs to Senator Jeanne Shaheen and the James Hackett Award for Leadership in Industry to Ken Solinksy, who, now retired, was the founder of Insight Technology (acquired by L-3 Warrior Systems in 2013). Funds raised from the event were given to Swim With a Mission, a nonprofit that helps strengthen and support organizations that service, support and honor our veterans.



7. NextEra Energy Seabrook LLC raised $37,550 at their 32nd annual Seabrook Station Golf Tournament to benefit Granite United Way’s mission and programs.
