
1. Meredith Village Savings Bank (MVSB) has purchased $90,000 in tax credits from the NH Community Development Finance Authority Capacity Building Program to help strengthen nonprofit organizations throughout New Hampshire, enabling them to create innovative, community-led economic development and infrastructure projects in the future. 2. Elaine Hamel, the founder, executive director and program leader of Girls at Work, received $3,000 worth of donations of new safety equipment, hand/power tools and gift certificates from TD Bank, as part of the Bank’s #TDThanksYou campaign. The nonprofit works to empower young girls to unleash their inner potential through working as a team on wood-working projects, and the donated tools will help the girls build more for their communities. 3. As part of its “When Life Hands You Lemons” initiative, Salem-based Fabrizia Spirits and the NH State Liquor Commission (NHLC) teamed up to raise $15,000 to support the NH Foster & Adoptive Parent Association (NHFAPA) and the expansion of Sibling Connections into New Hampshire, a nonprofit that reconnects siblings separated by foster care. 4. The Boys & Girls Club of Manchester (BGCM) has received a $15,000 donation from BankProv to support the Club’s after-school transportation services for members, including special trips throughout the school year.

5. Bar Harbor Bank & Trust employees presented nearly $12,000 in donations from the Bank’s employee-driven charitable giving program, Casual for A Cause, to six nonprofit organizations in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont: Hospice Volunteers of Hancock County, Island Health & Wellness Foundation, People Plus, and Trekkers (Maine); Lake Sunapee Region VNA & Hospice (New Hampshire); and Changing Perspectives Inc. (Vermont). 6. The Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) has given a $2,000 educational grant to Jaffrey-Rindge Middle School’s Lab Girls Club to support the STEM programs offered to Jaffrey and Rindge students. PhRMA also supported the Londonderry Foundation for STEM education and its students with a $2,000 educational grant.

7. White Mountains Community College has been recognized as one of the nation’s top community colleges by the National Center for Inquiry and Improvement to participate in the Rural Guided Pathways Project. As the only New England college selected, WMCC will collaborate with 15 other rural community colleges across the country and North Country community partners to enhance student experiences and outcomes.
