Savings Bank of Walpole has elected three new directors to its Board, who have served as corporators of the Bank for a number of years: Yvonne Goldsberry, president of the Endowment for Health; Nathalie Houder, vice president for finance and administration at Keene State College; and Zach Luse, founder and CEO of Paragon Digital Marketing.
Tom Sedoric, partner and executive managing director at The Sedoric Group of Steward Partners, was named to the 2022 Forbes/SHOOK Best-In-State Top Wealth Advisor List, an honor he also earned in 2021.
Nikos Kalampalikis of Bow has been promoted to branch relationship manager for Bar Harbor Bank & Trust’s branch in Manchester. He first joined the bank in 2018 as a floating customer service representative serving southern New Hampshire and later was a personal banker in the Concord and Bedford branches before becoming assistant branch manager at the Hillsborough location in 2021.
Torrie Lalime has been promoted to vice president, assistant controller at Bar Harbor Bank & Trust. Lalime, who joined the bank in 2017, most recently was the bank’s accounting operations manager. Prior to joining the Bank, she worked in public accounting as an auditor with CohnReznick and BerryDunn.
The board of directors at St. Mary’s Bank has elected Stephen Grzywacz as chair and Elizabeth Hitchcock as vice chair. Grzywacz is the president and CEO of Milford Lumber Company and Muir Lumber Corp. in Milford, and is the treasurer of P.J. Currier Lumber Company in Amherst. Hitchcock is a general partner at the Millworks Fund and serves on the board of Minim, an IoT security company based in Manchester.
Meredith Village Savings Bank has promoted Elizabeth Brothers to mortgage loan officer serving Alton, Gilford, Wakefield, Wolfeboro and surrounding communities. She previously served as the Bank’s assistant vice president, mortgage strategy officer and has held multiple roles in mortgage lending throughout her career.
Angela Strozewski has been appointed executive vice president and chief operating officer of New Hampshire Mutual Bancorp, a shared service organization that includes Savings Bank of Walpole, Merrimack County Savings Bank, Meredith Village Savings Bank and investment management firm NHTrust.
Gary W. Pelletier, an independent financial advisor at Northeast Planning Associates, Nashua, has been recognized by Forbes as one of the 2022 Best-in-State Wealth Advisors for the fifth consecutive year.
Northeast Credit Union has hired Bob Drouin to be vice president/controller, responsible for leading the accounting team on all operations.
LAW
Civil litigation attorney Lynnette Macomber has joined Concordbased Orr & Reno. A graduate of the University of New Hampshire School of Law, Macomber has represented clients at various stages of litigation and all levels of New Hampshire’s courts as well as before the NH Commission for Human Rights and the Office of Professional Licensure. She also has assisted with appellate briefs to the NH Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
McLane Middleton has announced the promotion of Michael C. McLean of Bow to director of marketing and business development. McLean joined McLane Middleton as marketing and business development manager in 2014. Before that, he spent six years at Mid-Atlantic Corporate Federal Credit Union (now Vizo Financial), most recently as communications specialist.
Christine Monigle, principal of Leto Advisors & Advocates, Hanover, has been chosen by the National Safe Parents Coalition as lead advocate to enact Kayden’s Law in the states of New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine. Monigle is a certified divorce coach and trained advocate, and she is licensed and has training by Tina Swithin, founder of One Mom’s Battle, a national divorce rights advocacy group. Attorney Joseph A. Cherniske, who has over a decade of experience as a prosecutor, has joined Shaheen & Gordon’s Criminal Law Group, working out of the firm’s Concord office. Cherniske will represent clients charged with serious misdemeanor and felony crimes, including homicides, physical and sexual assaults, thefts, drug offenses, DWI/DUI and other driving offenses.

Atlantic Capital Partners has negotiated the sale of 270 Amherst St., a 39,750-squarefoot shopping center located near the Massachusetts border in Nashua. Anchored by German discount grocer Aldi, the property was 86 percent leased at the time of sale. Justin Smith, Sam Koonce and Molly Lynch of Atlantic Capital represented the seller, Saxon Partners, and procured the buyer, Linear Retail, in the transaction.
Philip LaMoreaux of Plymouth has joined Badger Peabody & Smith Realty as a sales associate in its Plymouth office. He has 20 years of experience in building and remodeling of New Hampshire homes. He also has earned a Building Analyst certification through the Building Performance Institute.

Matthew Hilliker has joined Lakes Region Tent & Event as operations manager. In this new role, he will oversee all event operations, including staffing, order fulfillment and customer scheduling for the Concord-based tent and party rental business. Lebanon-based Global Rescue, a provider of medical, security, intelligence and crisis response services to corporations, governments and individuals, has been awarded a 2022 Titan Gold Award for “Local Field Rescue Service” in the Travel Product and Services category. Global Rescue said it unveiled local field rescue emergency services in response to the pandemic and the increase in traveler time outdoors both near and far away from home.
NONPROFITS
Associates at Fidelity Investments in Merrimack recently contributed $48,176 to the NH Food Bank through a fundraising drive that will provide the equivalent of over 96,000 meals to support individuals and families. In addition, Fidelity donated 500 crates of fresh produce, the equivalent of $5,000, to support those in need.
Terry Wiegelman, vice president of marketing and sales at Members First Credit Union, has been appointed to the board of Pope Memorial SPCA, an animal shelter that meets the needs of homeless and abandoned animals in Concord and Merrimack County.
Meredith Village Savings Bank recently donated $5,000 to support the After Prom Party in May for Inter-Lakes High School’s Class of 2022. Each year, the high school’s seniors raise funds from local businesses and the community to provide entertainment, gifts, prizes and food to the event’s more than 100 attendees.
Portsmouth-based Step Up Parents has received a $10,000 grant from the Neil and Louise Tillotson Fund of the NH Charitable Fund. The grant will allow the expansion and continued programming to offer financial assistance to kinship families due to a loved one’s substance misuse in New Hampshire’s North Country.
Dismas Home of New Hampshire, a statelicensed residential alcohol and drug rehabilitation and reentry program for previously incarcerated women, has received a $10,000 grant from the Northeast Delta Dental Foundation to provide oral health care to residents. Programs work to address the underlying trauma that leads to addiction and incarceration and provide a full array of support services including clinical therapy and health and dental care.

The Corning Incorporated Foundation has awarded Monadnock United Way $3,500 in support of the 2022-23 United We All Win Campaign, which raises funds to invest in children, education and financial stability in the Monadnock Region.
Granite VNA has named Sarah DeFalco chief human resource officer. She will focus on strategic planning, employee recruitment and retention, organizational and performance management, compensation and cultural integration for the company.
NeighborWorks Southern New Hampshire and The Granite YMCA are among four northern New England nonprofits to receive a total of $50,000 from Citizens Bank to help those they serve make informed financial decisions.
The Manchester Historic Association has added two new members to its board: Susan Gelinas, operations assistant at Next Step Bionics and Prosthetics in Manchester, and Christopher Messier, who works for the City of Manchester.
The Birchtree Center has received a $7,250 grant from The Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism, to help purchase a smart projector for its day school in Portsmouth.

The recent leasing of four industrial units at 198 Lafayette Rd., North Hampton has been announced by Colliers’ Portsmouth office. The location, formerly home to an auto repair shop, was renovated into five contractor units. David Choate and Abigail Morneault of Colliers represented the landlord, Sabbia LLC, in all of the leases. Choate and Morneault also represented the tenant in Unit 2, Homeland Heroes Foundation, a nonprofit that provides supportive services to active-duty military members, veterans and their families. Caitlin Burke of The Boulos Company represented Otter Creek Homes in the lease of Unit 1 and Portside Fine Carpentry in the lease of Unit 3. Jon Beebe of the Merrill Bartlett Group represented the tenant in Unit 4, Giovanni Benevento.
Storage Ventures, a Greenwich, Conn.-based real estate investment management platform focused on the self-storage sector, has acquired Storage Station on Loudon Road in Concord. The purchase acquisition is the second acquisition by the company in the Concord area. It previously acquired the Thirty Pines Self Storage complex in Penacook. “Acquiring multiple properties in a given market enhances our competitive position and allows us to operate more efficiently,” said Douglas Lee, founding partner of Storage Ventures.
Real estate investment and development firm The Kane Company, Portsmouth, has appointed Brett Tonks as president and chief operating officer. Tonks has over 20 years of executive leadership experience, including investment and management positions with Colony Capital, Colony Realty Partners, TIAA-CREF and Eastern Bank.

Shorey’s Grilled Cheese and Ice Cream, featuring Blake’s ice cream and a variety of grilled cheese sandwiches, has been opened in Franklin by Sharon and David Shorey and Laura and Anthony Damiani, longtime residents of the city.
GOVERNMENT
Jennifer Perry, Exeter’s public works director, has been named one of the Top Ten Public Works Leaders of the Year by the America Public Works Association. She is the first female public works director in New England to receive the recognition. She has been Exeter’s director of public works since 2007 and worked for the town since 2000. Bitfocus, owner of Clarity Human Services, has signed a contract with New Hampshire and Vermont to serve as the states’ Homeless Management Information System. Clarity will be replacing and expanding the current data systems, which support some 100 agencies working to end homelessness in the states. Bitfocus said the new software will be a “significant upgrade” from the states’ legacy data systems.
ARCHITECTURE
Placework, an architecture studio based in Portsmouth, is now a Certified B Corporation, the company announced. Founded by principals Alyssa Manypenny Murphy and Brian Murphy in 2010, Placework serves cultural, education and municipal clients. “Pursuing B Corp certification was a natural step in the evolution of our practice,” says Alyssa Murphy. “This achievement is not just a stamp of approval; maintaining our B-Corp status will continually challenge us to be the company we want to be.”
The H.L. Turner Group Inc., Concord, has added Kailey Woodbury to its staff as interior designer/architectural planner in a newly created position. She has over 10 years of experience working as an interior designer specializing in commercial architecture and design.

Concord-based Sanborn, Head & Associates has added Thomas Geiger to the staff of its office in Philadelphia, Pa. He will serve as a project director overseeing environmental consulting and regulatory work for clients in the Mid-Atlantic region and across the country. He has over 35 years of experience focused on investigating site environmental conditions and designing and implementing remediation strategies.
CONSTRUCTION
Brookstone Builders Inc., Manchester, has announced that Sean Scales has been appointed company vice president, taking on daily management of the firm. Scales previously was a commercial airline pilot for 20 years, but had worked at Brookstone during his high school and college years as a carpenter and assistant site supervisor. “I know Sean will be successful in his leadership role,” said Paula Scales, Brookstone’s president. Manchester-based Kalwall Corp.’s has developed environmental product declarations (EPDs) for its façade and skyroof daylighting systems that have been certified by UL. The certifications signify that Kalwall’s EPDs are in conformance with the Type III environmental declarations set by UL Environment and the International Standards Organization, the company said.
North Branch Construction, Concord, recently promoted Sandra McNeff to human resources manager. She joined the company in 2018 as a human resources generalist. In addition, Eli Wilson has joined North Branch as a project superintendent. He has experience supervising the construction of custom homes, designing floor plans, managing remodels and overseeing site development. And Rick Williams, who joined the company in 2020, has been promoted from commercial carpenter to assistant superintendent.

St. Teresa Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, a senior living community in Manchester, has named Catherine Sturk as administrator. She has 20 years of experience working in the senior care and skilled nursing industry, including as administrator for Prescott House in Andover, Mass., and Pleasant Valley Nursing Center in Derry.
Wentworth-Douglass Hospital has added former journalists Doug Moon and Aaron Sanborn to its communications team, responsible for working with the media to ensure members of the community are informed of matters involving public health, the hospital and its staff.
Androscoggin Valley Hospital, Berlin, has been ranked in the top percentile of all hospitals (more than 2,450) nationwide. The rankings are based on findings from a Press Ganey survey about patient satisfaction performance in numerous areas including responsiveness of hospital staff; cleanliness of hospital environment; and communication about medicine, or telling the patient what the medicine was for.

Tamworth-based Certihash has begun a project to develop “Sentinel Node,” a suite of five blockchainempowered enterprise utility applications based on the National Institute of Standards and Technology cybersecurity framework. IBM Consulting is assisting with software design and development. Certihash said that, for over two years, it has been working on the technology to launch the solution in the next six months.

Manchester Community College has become the sponsor of three information technology career pathways through ApprenticeshipNH, a workforce program of the Community College System of New Hampshire. MCC will work with employers to secure cybersecurity support technician, network support specialist and technical support specialist pathways for adults and high schoolers through registered and pre-apprentice programs, creating a workforce pipeline to help fill in-demand jobs with skilled employees. Harry Viens of Center Harbor has joined the NH Electric Cooperative’s board of directors, filling a vacancy left by Daniel Senie, who resigned on March 23. Viens will serve on the board until the next annual meeting in June 2023.
