Ski industry giant Vail Resorts — owner of the Wildcat, Attitash, Mt. Sunapee and Crotched Mountain resorts in New Hampshire — will require employees to be vaccinated against Covid for the ski season at all of its facilities, the company said Monday.
Vail Resorts provided limited information about the vaccination requirement as part of a broader release about the upcoming ski season. But it did say the vaccination requirement is “for their safety and protection as well as the safety and protection of guests and resort communities.” It said the requirement will be in compliance with federal rules.
The company also said it will continue additional measures, including daily health screenings for employees.
And when it comes to entering indoor settings, diners must provide a proof of vaccination.
Face coverings also will be required in indoor settings, including restaurants, lodging properties, restrooms,
retail and rental locations, and on buses. But they will not be required
outdoors, in lift lines, or on chairlifts or gondolas.
The requirement applies to people ages 12 and older.
Indoor
face coverings, enhanced hygiene practices, daily health screenings,
and other health and safety measures will also continue for all resort
employees, the company said.
Wildcat plans to open on Nov. 19, Mount Sunapee on Nov. 24, and Attitash and Crotched Mountain will open on Dec. 3.
