1. Outdoor Pride Landscape & Snow Management, a Manchester-based, family-owned commercial management firm, made a $100,000 donation to the Solinsky Center for Cancer Care at The Elliot in Manchester to support cancer treatment. The donation served as the culmination of Outdoor Pride’s year-long, employee-inspired “20 in 20” initiative, in which the company performed more than 20 acts of kindness in 2020.
2. Ledyard National Bank recently celebrated the opening of its newest branch at 74 South Main Street in Concord. The ceremony was attended by Concord Mayor Jim Bouley; Timothy Sink, Concord Chamber of Commerce president; Joe and Meghann Spain of JH Spain Commercial Services, LLC; Ledyard board members Teresa Rosenberger and Judith Maloy; and Ledyard’s Board Chair Margaret Rightmire.
3. Girls Inc. of New Hampshire has launched The Strong, Smart & Bold Car Raffle. Only 1,000 tickets will be available for purchase at $100 each. The grand prize winner can choose either a 2021 Chili Red MINI Cooper (pictured) or $20,000; the second-place winner will receive a 2020 Honda Super Cub motorcycle; and the third-place winner will receive the newest Apple Watch (Series 6). 4. Longtime FIRST volunteer Dave Price, chief UAS pilot at Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. in Portsmouth, and Cambria Hobbs, a Plymouth State University student, comment on the action from the FIRST Update Desk at Plymouth State University’s Makerspace. Thirty-five robotics teams comprising nearly 200 high school students recently participated in the third annual Governor’s Cup FIRST NH Robotics Event, which was reimagined as a virtual event for 2020.
5. Six Seacoast region chambers of commerce — including the areas of Hampton, Exeter, Portsmouth, Dover, Rochester and The Falls — have formed a partnership with the state’s Business & Economic Affairs Department to develop and deliver programs and services that support Covid-19 economic recovery efforts through the end of 2020.
6. Atlantic Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine broke ground last month on a new ambulatory surgery center, New England Center for Orthopaedic Surgery, affiliated with Portsmouth Regional Hospital and jointly owned with HCA Healthcare.
7. This fall, Duprey Hospitality announced the opening of Tru by Hilton Concord, conveniently located right off I-93. Present at the ribbon cutting were Steve Duprey, president and CEO of the Duprey Companies; Governor Chris Sununu; Mayor Jim Bouley; and many others from the community, including Joanne Gagnon, VP of Bank of New Hampshire, and Mike Long, president and CEO of Bank of New Hampshire.
8. This fall, Arthur Sullivan (second from left), co-owner with Shane Brady of Brady Sullivan Properties, presented a $100,000 donation to the newly opened Solinsky Center for Cancer Care at Elliot Hospital, to further state-of-theart cancer care and treatment in the community. Elliot Hospital CEO Dr. Greg Baxter (left) was joined by the hospital’s capital campaign co-chairs Ellie Cochran and Charlie Goodwin.
